Complete Assassin's Creed collection
Main Post:
This year I have completed my physical collection of Assassin's Creed games. It includes all main games and spin-offs, in total there are 20 games spanning 6 platforms. I always dreamt about buying all games, but I wanted them to be first-hand games, and the DS and PSP spin-offs were a bit overpriced. I finally bought them for less than 60€ each, completing my collection 😁.
I have obtained 100% synchronization in all of them, including all their DLCs (the RPG trilogy games no longer have a DNA synchronization menu, but I have completed all quests and cleared all zones). The hardest ones to beat were Brotherhood, Revelations and AC II: Discovery. These games introduced optional objectives, but did not have the option to reload a checkpoint, so you had to restart the memories from the beginning (damn you bomber and tank missions).
My favourite games are Brotherhood, Revelations and Unity. I hope that physical games do not eventually die!
Games:
- Assassin's Creed
- Assassin's Creed II
- Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
- Assassin's Creed: Revelations
- Assassin's Creed III
- Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
- Assassin's Creed: Rogue
- Assassin's Creed: Unity
- Assassin's Creed: Syndicate
- Assassin's Creed: Origins
- Assassin's Creed: Odyssey
- Assassin's Creed: Valhalla
- Assassin's Creed: Mirage

What’s the best assassins creed game?
Main Post:
Out of the few which are available on gamepass but also out of everyone if you prefer, I’m looking for the best game in term of graphic, story and how fun it is to play it. I have ADHD so when a game becomes repetitive in the gameplay I become bored pretty easily and stop playing it 😭
Top Comment: when a game becomes repetitive in the gameplay I become bored pretty easily and stop playing it I'm gonna go ahead and say that AC probably isn't something you'll get too far into.
Are Assassin’s Creed games worth it in 2023?
Main Post:
I have never played an AC game before with the exception of Black Flag back in 2014 when it was free with Xbox Live. I was 12 back then so I don’t remember much of it.
Anyway, I can’t say I have an idea of how AC games work with the exception of what everyone else does (stealth, open world, etc.), but still I know AC has some cult fans that really love the series. So, now that they’re on sale on Steam, do you think AC games aged well (gameplay, story and graphics) and are worth the buy from a complete stranger to the series?
Any explanation as to why you recommend it would be extremely appreciated. Im considering AC Origins, AC Black Flag, AC II or Brotherhood.
My favorite games of all time are Zelda BOTW, Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden and Elden Ring. Just saying in case this is worth mentioning.
Top Comment: Black flag is the best pirate game I’ve ever played.
Which of these 6 ac games should I start off with
Main Post:
I just bought the bundle off PlayStation that comes with 6 games ac oddysey ac rouge ac unity ac black flag ac origins or ac syndicate
Top Comment: Release order! The answer is always release order!
Are all the assassin creed games good?
Main Post:
Never played an assassin creed game before and now I feel overwhelmed by how many games are in that series, can I skip some of them? Or should I play them all?
Top Comment: Some better than others- but all worth playing my opinion. Standouts we’re 2, Black Flag, and Origins
Just finished all AC games - here are my rankings!
Main Post:
Just played through all of them for the first time. What an absolute blast! Haven’t played through mirage but will soon.
- AC2 - incredible atmosphere, incredible soundtrack, incredible characters, incredible story. Gameplay is a little iffy but everything else more than makes up for it. This is peak AC. Pure magic.
- Black Flag - love the unique setting. Best pirate game ever. It mixes the pirates and assassin themes so well. I think the gameplay is fantastic. There are trailing missions but they’re much better and engaging than the ezio ones. Edward is possibly the greatest video game character ever and his story made me cry.
- Revelations - incredibly poignant story. Love old ezio, and I LOVE the setting. I love that ezio and Altair are connected. The soundtrack is incredibly. Characters are great. I think the gameplay is the best of the ezio trilogy. The ending made me cry.
- AC3 - love the setting. Connor is good, not great. The story is really good. Soundtrack is amazing. Not a fan of the extended intro. There are some genuinely emotional moments. Some of the best villains in the series. The confession sequences are top notch. I love how the morality is more gray in this. The technical limitations of the the time held this one back. I was hoping for some big epic battles.
- Unity - best gameplay in the series. Great parkour. Few bugs for me. It’s hard, but it’s the only game I actually felt like I had to be stealthy cause combat was rarely an option. Setting is incredible. Some of the greatest graphics of all time, even to this day. Story and Arno are meh, but not bad.
- Origins - I love the setting and Bayek is good. The RPG elements grew on me. I like that it’s the Perfect mixture of the old and new formula. There’s still a lean, linear story without too much bloat.
- Brotherhood- good story, good gameplay, but it’s just ac2 part 2. Doesn’t add a lot, but not bad.
- Odyssey - barely an AC game, but very fun and great setting. I like Kassandra. Story is too bloated and too much grinding. If you just tell yourself this isn’t an Ac game, you’ll have a good time.
- AC1 - this started it all. Love the feeling of mystery. Feels very sci-fi. Great atmosphere and setting. Gameplay just isn’t great. Ultimately doesn’t have much replay value, but it’s still special.
- Syndicate - amazing setting, bad story and annoying characters. Too cartoony. Fun but forgettable.
- Rogue - black flag k mart version. Nonsensical story. Shay is okay. Would have preferred just playing as someone who was a Templar from the start instead of having some contrived villain origin story. Felt forced. They could have done a way more interesting story. Just feels like DLC. Decent setting
- Valahalla - elements of the story and setting are nice. Way too bloated and repetitive. Felt like a generic fantasy game. Didn’t like this one at all.
Top Comment: Can't believe AC1, Rogue and Syndicate are ranked below Odyssey. But its your opinion so I am gonna let it pass.
Favorite AC game and why?
Main Post:
I know it's probably been done like 5000 times by now 🙃. But I recently started playing Unity again for the 2nd time ever since have added steam achievements. I have to say Unity is probably one of my favorite just because the French Revolution and recreation of France was amazing. As well the story was pretty good for a character arc like Arno without going into spoilers.
But other than Unity I love Ezio but didn't want to pick that as my favorite because I hate some of how it plays being older lol. But if I'm gonna go with technically the new trilogy of sorts id probably pick odyssey there as I love Kassandra the story and her back muscles, sorry not sorry lol
What is your favorite and why?
Top Comment: As much as I want to say AC III, because I’ve always been fascinated by the American Revolution, I keep coming back to Black Flag because it’s such a compelling story, Edward is the most complex protagonist I’ve seen in these games (of the ones I’ve played, anyway) and Matt Ryan does a phenomenal job playing him.

Top Comment: Interesting stuff. I'm assuming Stardust/remake 2 will be a remake of AC1. 'Jade' is odd though. Wasn't that previously said to be a mobile game?
